FT-NIR microscope imaging for pharmaceutical tablet characterization

June 13, 2024

Introduction

The use of  near-infrared (FT-NIR) spectroscopy has grown rapidly in the pharmaceutical industry during the past decade. The IMV-4000 Infrared Linear Array Microscope with an FT/IR-4000 or FT/IR-6000 instrument with NIR spectral range offers rapid imaging of pharmaceutical tablets, a valuable tool in the quality control of tablet properties, offering measurement data with high specificity and sensitivity. The data can be used with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) chemometric software for the evaluation of component distribution and contaminant identification.
