Abstract

We disclose g-C3N4/LaFeO3photocatatalyst, a mediator-free direct Z-scheme photocatalytic system by using mechanical mixing method with reliable interfacial interaction. The nanocomposite formation was determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).The optical property of the nanohybrids have also been characterized by UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS) and Photoluminescence Spectra (PL). Outcome makes obvious that the g-C3N4/LaFeO3nanocomposite were effectively fabricated, with reliable interfacial interaction and formed good heterojunction interaction between g-C3N4 and LaFeO3 which can considerably enhance the photocatalytic activity as compared to prinstine g-C3N4 and LaFeO3. Here the high HER (1152μmolh-1g-1) is also supported by PL spectra, Mott-Schottky plot, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and solid-solid interfacial interaction
