Abstract

A chiral polymer resulted from the polycondensation of an achiral monomer in a chiral nematic liquid crystal (N * -LC) as an inert solvent. As an explanation for the chirality of the polymer, the asymmetry produced by the chiral medium during polymerization is suggested.
